A while ago, I have posed a following challenge to my friends

Create a haiku about photography WITHOUT using the following words :
photo, photograph, picture, camera.
(You do not have to adhere to a strict syllable count.)

The following verses are some of their efforts.  You are welcome to submit your own.

snip-snap
life flashing before you
as an instance freezes
Slava Frid --

green leaves
as they steal sunlight
a kodak moment
-- Slava Frid

focus,
zoom-in -- zoom-out
repeat as needed
Slava Frid --

Squeezed
between pages of an album
we always smile.
-- Lenny Zeltser

Stop! Smile! Time freezes.
Bright side of life full of joy.
Paper memory.
Irina Korsakova and Yevgeniy Miretskiy --

to catch
the light of a firefly
accross the pages
-- Arkady Nemerovsky

Silver stung by stars
A moment sealed forever
Moonbeams in a jar
Patrick Littlefield --

shutter blades
like spring glass
cut into memory
-- Slava Frid

Mirror snaps loudly
as world comes into focus.
Exposing itself
Slava Frid --

Taking memories captive
Paper sullies itself
but saves its prisoner
-- Slava Frid

Light touches film.
Now is it art or folly?
Your heart will tell you.
Patrick Littlefield --

Light awakes:
a child, whose mouth focuses open.
A small tooth, drops.
-- Boba (Bob Black)

Silver nitrate
Preserves my best dreams
Until the end of time
Pavel Tsinberg --

In silver nitrate
Nightmares and dreams preserved
Until time expires
-- Pavel Tsinberg

From glossy paper
Caffeine stained smile
Tries to kiss the eye
Pavel Tsinberg --

Shadows and ghosts
Intangible luminosity
Naked forever in print
-- Pavel Tsinberg
